How Market Exclusivity Works

Here is a very simple, easy to understand summary of how the Elite Sphere exclusivity and territory system works:

- Markets are defined by counties

- Market Connectors can operate in 1-5 counties

- Exclusivity is controlled by limiting the number of Market Connectors based on total population size of the given county

- For every 100,000 people, up to 4 Market Connectors are allowed. 

- So for example:
   - A city with 500,000 people could have up to 20 Market Connectors (5 chunks of 100k = 5 * 4 = 20 Connectors)

- After the 100k chunks are calculated, any remaining population is applied to the tier ranges:

   - 0-25,000 people = 1 more Market Connector

   - 25,001-50,000 = 2 more Market Connectors 

   - 50,001-75,000 = 3 more Market Connectors

- For example:

   - A city with 525,000 people could have up to 23 Market Connectors (5 chunks of 100k = 20 MCs, plus 25k remainder = 1 more MC, so 20 + 1 = 21 MCs)

- This approach allows Market Connectors to operate in larger areas while limiting exclusivity based on total population.
