Design is done! But wait! There’s more!!
Now you get to decide when your rebel Path displays and what kind of animation you want.
- Decide when it appears
- Set it as an Exit Intent Trigger
- Allow users to hide it
- Set the button animation style
This is all done from the STEP 3 - SETTINGS tab.
Decide when it appears
By default, your rebel Path will display to viewers once they open the webpage it's on.
But maybe you want to give them a few seconds before showing it to them. Maybe you want to wait for people to engage in the webpage, get interested, and then hit them with your CTA.
Whatever the reason, we give you that option.
Under the “When do you want it to display?” question, you can select:
- Immediately
- After 5 seconds
- After 10 seconds
- After 20 seconds
- After 30 seconds
- After 45 seconds
- After 60 seconds
This is one you’ll want to think closely about when it comes to any Time on Site information you might have about that web page. If you know visitors are staying longer, go ahead and give them some extra time. But if they average Time on Site is less than 20 seconds, you don’t want to wait 30 before displaying your rebel Path.
Set it as an Exit Intent Trigger
So this is a really cool feature. Instead of displaying your rebel Path immediately or a few seconds later, you can wait and have it display when users are getting ready to leave the page no matter how long they stayed.
With this option, your rebel Path won’t appear until your visitor’s cursor moves outside the upper page boundary as if they’re headed for the web page’s Back button, Close button, you name it.
It works great when paired with discount, free demo, or newsletter signup.
To enable this setting, select the “When user intends to leave (exit intent) option.
Allow users to hide it
The first option on this step is the “Allow Users to hide rebel Path?” setting.
Select this option if you want to add a small X Dismiss button to the top-right of your rebel Path.
This is more than often a great idea to include. You don’t want to annoy your viewers by blocking content on the page they’re viewing and not letting them dismiss your rebel Path.
But we don’t want them to dismiss it, right? We want them to click on it? So we added an option for you to select when the X Dismiss option appears.
This can be:
- Immediately
- After 5 seconds
- After 10 seconds
- After 20 seconds
- After 30 seconds
- After 45 seconds
- After 60 seconds
Make your selection based on the amount of content on your rebel Path. Is there a lot to consume? A little? Give them enough time to browse through it, then offer the X Dismiss button.
Set the button animation style
Last but not least for STEP 3 is the button animation style. A simple, but fun way to grab the attention of your viewers.
By default, our CTA buttons use the Wobble animation style, which means the button “wobbles” for a second every 3 seconds.
You can set the animation style for your CTA buttons to:
- Wobble (wobbles every 3 seconds)
- Pulse (gets bigger for a second, then back to size)
- Radioactive (emits the color of the button out from behind it)
